Shandler Enterprises was publishing the monthly Baseball Forecaster newsletter, the recently-acquired weekly fax service, Rick Wilton’s Hot Sheet, and a bunch of ancillary products. As the product line grew and readers’ informational needs expanded, Ron decided to centralize all the offerings in a website.

He dubbed it Baseball Axis. Rick responded, “Which of us gets to be Mussolini?” And thus, Baseball HQ was born.
